Kaz (rhymes with eyes) Wright is a New Jersey native, currently living and teaching 4th grade in Chicago, Illinois. Actively rooted in the Educational field for 21 years she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism/Mass Media from Rutgers University, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Technology from University of Phoenix, and a Master’s Degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University.  

Kaz has taught in New Jersey, Maryland, as well as a 2-year stint in Beijing, China (2018-2020) where she taught 5th grade and traveled extensively! She is a two-time Teacher of the Year winner and has been recognized several times for her work and advocacy for young people both inside and outside of their school life.

In addition to her love of teaching and reading, Kaz enjoys traveling, arts and crafts, as well as shopping!  

Lastly, but most importantly, Kaz is the proud mom of one wonderful, creative, young adult named Kayla!
